The saying goes, “I’m feeling some kind of way” about this situation or that situation. I guess we use the phrase when we can’t find words to articulate the feeling which is sometimes co-mingled with thoughts about the thing, situation, or event that leaves you “feeling some kind of way.”
Whatever “kind of way” you’re feeling it is typically not good nor easily verbalized, quantified, qualified or realized; but it is just a feeling. Like all feelings, “feeling some kind of way” comes and goes unless we dwell on it; allowing it to escort us down a path that ends in despair, anger, depression, self-pity or worse.
The scriptures encourage us to cast our cares upon the Lord for He cares for us (Psalm 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7). Why not cast upon the Lord the situation that has you “feeling some kind of way” and allow God to turn your mourning into dancing, anger into joy, pain into forgiveness, fears into faith and your longing into satisfaction. The “some kind of way” you will find yourself feeling is grateful.
God is so very faithful. I can’t help but love Him.
