Return of the Giants!

History Alive Standard Image

We’re back and ready for 2015

Our “History Alive: Standing on the Shoulders of Giants” program trains together youth in character development, acting, dance, instrumental and vocal music and dramatic interpretation. With a generous *grant from the Michigan Council for Art and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) starting in February, 2015 the youth will experience 3 hour weekly sessions with skilled instructors who nurture their talent and lovingly encourage them to grow and develop into leaders in their community. Sessions will take place on Saturday afternoons at Christian Love Fellowship Ministries, International, 1601 Stamford Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48198. The program is free with transportation and refreshments provided.

In 2015 we will feature the late Apostle Robert A. Hill, founding pastor of Christian Love Fellowship Ministries International, author, psalmist, and visionary leader; Dr. Joetta Mial, transformational educational leader in the Ann Arbor Public Schools and celebrated community leader; and, Mr. John E. Lawrence, musician, author, educator and Chair of the Music Department at Washtenaw Community College, Ann Arbor, MI.  The youth will present a stage play that depicts the life of our giants in May, 2015.

Please pass the word on to youth in your networks. Volunteers are also needed.

*ATAMI is required to provide funds to match the MACA grant. We will gratefully accept donations in any amount.
