Art in the Park 2016 Returns June 15 @ 5:30 PM

It’s that Time Again!!

Art in the Park begins Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Community Park on Stamford Road in Superior Township. What is Art in the Park? It’s a make-it take-it arts and crafts program for families in the surrounding community. Sessions are from 5:30-7:00 each Wednesday night.  We have craft projects for people of all ages.

This year we will have visits from the Children’s Literacy Book Mobile at 6:00. 

Volunteers are needed. Please call 734-961-8310 to volunteer.
1. Teach a craft to community residents (you may lead 1 session or more)
2. Assist participants
3. Read with children
3. Help set up and clean up
4. Donate  at http://www.ataminc.org

Short Changed No More

Have you ever given more than you got back. It may have been at a check out counter, or in a marriage. It could have been on the job, in ministry, with your children. Sometimes it feels like others give little but reap abundantly.

Oftentimes whe you give out more than you get back there is the feeling of being short changed. In this video, Bishop TD Jakes explains this phenomenon from a biblical perspective leaving the listener encouraged. I was blessed by it. I pray that you take the time to watch the whole video (when you have time), and I promise you, it will be worth your time.

History Alive Session 2 Tomorrow 1:30 PM

Hello everyone,

Happy Valentine’s Day Eve. I’m sure you have great romantic plans for tomorrow. In the midst of all the excitement, don’t forget about “History Alive: Standing on the Shoulders of Giants,” featuring Dr. Joetta Mial, Apostle Robert Hill and Mr. John E. Lawrence. Activities start at 1:30 and end at 4:00. This gives you a few hours of pamper and preparation before the big night. Drop your children off, we’ll love them, afford them opportunities to bring forth their greatness! We nurture the potential and generously love your children. The mission of All Things Artistic Ministries, Inc. (ATAMI) is to glorify God and serve humanity.

Happy Valentine’s Day. My the God’s love be the motivating factor of the day.

Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network

 

Announcing PENCON 2015

 The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network will present the Second Annual Editor Convention May 1–2, 2015 in Austin, Texas. The event will be held at Hilton Garden Inn NW/Arboretum.

 

The two-day convention will cover many aspects of editing, marketing, and business skills. Twenty-two workshops are planned over two days. Although the convention is designed for editors, all are welcome. Writers are encouraged to attend to learn and understand the editing process.

 

Speakers include experts in several areas of the writing industry: Frank Ball, Kathy Carlton Willis, Kathy Ide, Thomas Umstattd Jr., and more. Their expertise ranges from editing, writing, marketing, social media, and more. 

 

Early registration deadline is March 1. Registration before March 1 is $175, after that date the cost is $200. Space is limited. Complete details including online registration, workshop descriptions, schedule, and more are available at http://thechristianpen.com/convention-2/.
